I struggled with alcohol addiction on and off for over twenty years. I was a binge drinker for ten years, first of all, then I went through a dry phase for seven years, and finally, I entered a chronic phase which lasted for four years.
I had been to AA group meetings and homeopathic counselling, which helped a lot, although later on I suffered a few relapses which resulted in extreme DT's and a near-death experience from alcohol poisoning.
During my years of addiction, I experienced a number of related challenges and mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, arrested development, poor self-image, low self-esteem and self-confidence, financial hardship, relationship difficulties, poor self-care, homelessness, isolation, fragile personal boundaries and lack of purpose and direction.
It took seven months in a Hindu-based Monastery/Ashram for me to recover and rehabilitate sufficiently to be able to rejoin life outside.
A few years later, I found an introduction course to Holistic Counselling and Psychotherapy and in no time at all, I decided to go for the Degree Course straight afterwards which was run by ICPPD in Athlone.
As a result, I feel I am both academically and experientially qualified to work and excel in this area of expertise, and I am committed to providing the best possible service that I can to anyone who needs it.

Tony Robbins
'Justin guided me in my journey with depression with compassion, understanding, kindness, caring and non-judgemental support. He helped me see that what I thought was impossible was indeed possible. I wouldn't be where I am today without his help and guidance. I could not recommend him highly enough.'
